I’m sure many of my eagle-eyed customers have noticed that product prices were increased overnight tonight, Tuesday 2nd November 2021.
This is because I have reached the VAT Registration threshold, and must now add 20% VAT onto my products.
I tried to avoid this for as long as I could – I have little interest in growing the business as they do on The Apprentice – I was happy with it at the size that it was …
However, HMRC does not accept this excuse , unfortunately (!), so registration became unavoidable, and prices have now been increased by 20%. I feel that my products offer good value still, at the new prices, and I hope to become more of a ‘capitalist’ over the coming years, so that I can feel more upbeat about the change …
